Superior, WI -

The Jills traveled to Superior tonight to challenge the Wisconsin-Superior YellowJackets, winners of 56 straight UMAC games since joining the conference.

Bianca Avalos started the scoring, getting the Jills out to a quick 3-0 lead. However, aggressive play by both teams led to a game-ending injury for the Jills' Emily Wagner, and the Jackets led 18-12 after one. The Jills were able to draw a third personal foul on Superior's leading scorer Hannah Norlin early in the 2nd period, but they were unable to score over the final minutes and went into halftime down, 32-19.

The 3rd quarter saw Superior start on a 10-0 run behind solid inside play and defensive intensity. The Jills lost another starter, Avalos, to injury but were able to find a rhythm late and went into the final period behind 66-31. In the final stanza, Northland put together a solid ten minutes behind the strong play of Emily Nielsen, Autumn Ninke, and Sarah Houle.  The Jills outscored the Jackets 21-19 to make the final tally, 75-52.
