The Jacks traveled to Superior, WI tonight for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference contest against the University of Wisconsin-Superior YellowJackets.
The YellowJackets started the game on an 8-1 run, but the Jacks would rally back to get to within two of the YellowJackets. The YellowJackets would be able to maintain their lead for the majority of the half, but the Jacks would continue to hit key shots and tie the game up at 26-26 with less than 2 minutes remaining in the half. The Jacks would go into halftime with a 28-26 lead.
The teams traded shots with one another to start the second half, but the YellowJackets would eventually pull away with a lead. The Jacks got to within two of the YellowJackets later in the half and would be able to keep the YellowJackets close. The YellowJackets widened their lead, but the Jacks would be able to get to within two with less than a minute remaining in regulation. However, it would be too late as the Jacks would fall by a final score of 67-64.
Ethan Rycenga and Ben Arqueros Jr. each led the Jacks with 13 points, while
Brandon Galland added 12.
Modesta Britten tallied 7 rebounds, while Rycenga and Arqueros Jr. each added 6.
The Jacks will be back at home 12/15 against the Bethany Lutheran College Vikings. The game is scheduled to begin at 5pm.
