Mike Shelley graduated from Northland College in 1991 with a B.A. in Policy Studies. While a student, Mike was a core member of the men's basketball team, lettering all three years he played (1989-1991). During this time, Mike was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) two consecutive years in a row, named National Small College All-American in 1991, and served as team captain in 1991. Mike also set two records for most points scored, 1520, and assists, 630.
Since graduation, Mike has been working in the field of social service. Today Mike is currently working for a non-profit agency in Chicago. When not working or playing basketball, Mike spends a great deal of time with his daughter. His devotion as a parent can be attributed to his mother, who he is especially grateful for raising Mike and his brother, as well as his other family members for their support.
