June Guidinger-Schlager joins Northland College's Athletic Hall of Fame for her contributions to Northland College Basketball and Volleyball as a student athlete. During the 1980s she helped each team reach the National Little College Athletic Association (NLCAA) National Championship playoffs. She was instrumental as a team player in helping Northland field a fullfledged four-year women's varsity basketball and volleyball team. Guidinger-Schlager started in every game from her freshman to senior
years in both volleyball and basketball. She was a member the 1981 NLCAA championship volleyball team and was honored as an All-American basketball player in 1984. During both her sophomore and junior year she received "Most Improved Player Award" for her work with the basketball team. She was also a member of the 1985 basketball team that earned 2nd place in the NLCAA National Championship.
Guidinger-Schlager graduated from Northland College with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Financial and Organizational Management. As a senior she was selected to the Dean's List.
After working for nine years as an accountant in New Jersey, Guidinger-Schlager returned to her hometown of Milwaukee to enjoy life and her family-mom, dad, and nine brothers and sisters. She is married to Kenneth Paul Schlager and works as a Service Support Administrator for the GE Medical System.
